Cedar Crest Real Estate is located on the east side of the Sandia Mountains in the East Mountain Community.  The  census of 2000 states there are 1,060 people, 470 households, and 322 families residing in the Cedar Crest.  There are 501 housing units in Cedar Crest.  There are 470 households out of which 23.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them  The average household size is 2.22 and the average family size is 2.64.  The median income for a household in the town is $50,865, and the median income for a family is $62,054. Males have a median income of $42,400 versus $28,500 for females.

Many familes that work in the Albuquerque Real Estate area choose to live in the East Mountain Community of Cedar Crest.  Housing varies from the family farm homes on many ares to the prestige communites of Paako and San Pedro Creek.  Paako borrows its name from the Anasazi Indian Ruins located there and San Pedro Creek's namesake is the beautiful creek that runs year round fed from underground springs.  Properties range in price from $150,000 to over a million.


Near Cedar Crest the San Pedro Creek runs through a 20,000 acre preserve inhabited by wild Mustangs direct descendants of the horses brought here by the Spaniards. The wild horses can sometimes be seen from the road on the drive from Cedar Crest to Santa Fe on North 14.  Just part of what the "Land of Enchantment" offers.  Cedar Crest is also home of the East Mountain Community Theatre which travels the area entertaining.  They are a dedicated not for profit group.
